Aberdeen Asset Management Sdn Bhd
Welcome to Aberdeen Asset Management Sdn Bhd. Our business is the management of investments for Malaysian institutions, principally equities and bonds, via segregated funds.
A wholly-owned subsidiary of the Aberdeen Group, the UK listed independent asset management company, we are the first of only five foreign fund managers to have been awarded a domestic asset management licence. Our Islamic subsidiary, Aberdeen Islamic Asset Management, received its licence from the Securities Commission to be an Islamic Fund Manager in January 2009. This enables us to manage funds along Shariah lines (currently investing in equities and Sukuk) for local and overseas clients.
The Aberdeen Group currently has MYR4.7 bn* invested in stocks listed on Bursa Malaysia. Our full-service office is in Kuala Lumpur. Malaysian institutional clients can also benefit from our extensive overseas network covering equities, fixed income instruments and property globally.
The Group has been actively managing investments in the Asian region since 1985 with a physical presence in the region since 1992. Offices are located in Singapore, Sydney, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and Tokyo plus representation in Seoul and Shanghai.
