Kuala Lumpur, 23 September 2011 – On Tuesday 20 September, a six strong Aberdeen team took part in The Edge-Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Rat Race. It is a 4.5km run for charity (20 beneficiaries include the National Kidney Foundation, Native Youth Institute) and the course takes participants through Kuala Lumpur's central business district. This year a record 750 runners took part raising a record RM1.93 million (GBP400,000).
Aberdeen has entered a team in the KL Rat Race for the past three years. Their athletic attire of kilt and Aberdeen jackets has remained the same (click on link for pictures). Congratulations to Christopher Wong Jalil Rasheed, Bharat Joshi, Suhaila Suboh, Najman Mohamad Isa and Aaina Salim.
